westgate vineyard, armstrong
Vines were first planted at Westgate in 1969 and since then the fruit has been sought by local vignerons to produce some of the district’s fine wines.
The vineyard area at Westgate was expanded in 1998, with further plantings planned. A small winery was built at Westgate in 1990 and in 1999 a vigneron's licence was granted to allow for the production and sale of a small quantity of wine under the Westgate label. Westgate Vineyard continues to produce quality fruit for local wineries.

Westgate wines are available from Garden Gully Cellar Door at Great Western open daily from 11am to 4pm.
